Lauren Drandorff

Lauren is currently a student at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. In the past, Lauren gained experience working with individuals of all ages and with a wide range of psychological concerns. She trained at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Addiction Treatment Program, Alexian Brothers Anxiety and OCD Program, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center for Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery, and Vista Medical Center Impatient Unit.

Through this work, Lauren found her passion of helping individuals with anxiety, trauma, and stress disorders  - specifically the veteran population. She gets a great deal of personal and professional fulfillment through her work in the field of psychology especially when she is able to work and help individuals within those specific groups.

This year, Lauren hopes to further her knowledge with evaluation and assessment techniques. She wants to expand her understanding of the why and purpose behind each testing tool and be able to make her own, well informed decisions about evaluations and testing batteries. She is also interested in building her confidence in analyzing neuropsychological evaluations and incorporating that information into effective treatment and care. Lauren is excited for her time at Landstrom Center in order to grow these skill sets and help others in the process.
