Jessica Cruz, M.A.
Advanced Doctoral Student Extern
Jessica is a fourth-year Clinical Psychology doctoral student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her B.S. in Psychology with a Chemistry minor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Jessica has been a practicum student at Landstrom Center since August 2016, completing diagnostic and supplemental training. She completed her therapy practicum training at Bridge View/Challenger Day Schools. As an Advanced Doctoral Student Extern at Landstrom Center, Jessica provides services in both the Neuropsychology Department and the Psychotherapy Department. She sees individuals across the lifespan, predominantly working with children and adolescents, as well as their parents and families. Jessica is particularly interested in assessment and neuropsychology, and also appreciates opportunities to provide interventions through psychotherapy. She has a relational and integrative approach to therapy and is passionate about trying to understand each person’s complexities and differences. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, she aims to help individuals to develop insights, overcome their struggles, and reach their goals.
